Former rap mogul Marion "Suge" Knight pleaded no contest Thursday to manslaughter for the death of a man during a hit-and-run incident on the set of the movie biopic "Straight Outta Compton."
Knight, 53, is scheduled to be sentenced October 4, prosecutors are calling for a sentence of 28 years in prison.
Two other criminal cases against Knight will be dismissed at sentencing.
Knight was facing life in prison being charged with one count of murder for the death of Terry Carter and one count of attempted murder in the case of Cle "Bone" Sloan. He was also facing a charge of hit-and-run.
