Beyonce doesn't seem to happy with a Brooklyn brewery that was using her name to sell a beer without her permission.
The singer is blocking Brooklyn Lineup Brewery from selling any more of it's "Bieryonce", which according to the owner was named in honor of Queen Bey.
The 36 year old "Drunk In Love" singer sent the brewery a cease and desist letter demanding that they shut down the production of the beer. Not only for the use of her name, but it appears that the same font is used that was used on Bey's 2013 self-titled album.
“As a Hispanic, female-run business, I am very inspired by her so I thought I’d pay homage,” Martinez said. “We’re disappointed she didn’t take it as a compliment, but oh well. It was fun while it lasted!”
Bar owner Katarina Martinez has been brewing the beer since 2016 after buying tickets to a Beyonce concert and not being able to attend.
She plans to sell the remaining “Bïeryoncé” she has left then stop brewing it, the site reported.
A rep for the singer didn’t immediately return a request for comment Tuesday.
