Lori Harvey came dangerously close to being car jacked this weekend. Luckily, her quick thinking prevented something much worse from happening.
Lori, the daughter of Steve Harvey, had just parked her 2020 Rolls-Royce Cullinan at an apartment complex in Atlanta Wednesday night. As she made her way to the trunk to grab some things, the suspect crept up and ran to jump in the driver's seat.
According to the police report, Lori told cops the suspect was a young black guy who tried to steal her ride. We’re told Lori actually ran toward him and struggled with him as he was sitting in the SUV, but he pushed her away.
Lori told cops that's when she realized she could just walk away with the key fob to thwart the attempted auto theft (because it can't be put in drive without it). We’re told she simply walked away nonchalantly.
As she did, a second suspect pulled up in a getaway car, hopped out, ran to the back of her Rolls and grabbed a red duffel bag. Both he and the first suspect jumped in their vehicle and fled.
The duffel bag was filled with clothing, so they didn't get away with much. Harvey was coming from Whole Foods and investigators will be checking those cameras.
If Gwyneth Paltrow's latest vagina candles didn't creep you out, Erykah Badu is saying hold my beer with her new used underwear incense. "Badu's P---y" -- will smell as advertised.
"I took lots of pairs of my panties, cut them up into little pieces and burned them," she explained. "Even the ash is part of it."
Available on her soon-to-launch online store, Badu World Market, the singer said her reasoning for creating such a product is simple: "There's an urban legend that my p---y changes men. The men that I fall in love with, and fall in love with me, change jobs and lives." She called this her "superpower."
Badu, who told the interviewer she actually stopped wearing underwear a while back, feels "the people deserve" to have their homes smell like her burning used underwear.
Criminals will think of anything to try to outsmart authorities, even being completely obvious with their crimes. Two Florida men were busted over the weekend for speeding around with meth, cocaine and more packed in sacks with the words “Bag Full of Drugs” printed on them, authorities said.
Authorities pulled over driver Ian Christian Simmons and passenger Joshua Michael Reinhardt, both 34 and from Orlando, around 5:30 p.m. Saturday for cruising up to 95 miles per hour in their Kia, according to a Highway Patrol news release obtained by the Pensacola News-Journal.
Authorities found 75 grams of methamphetamine, 1.36 kilograms of the sedative GHB, 1 gram of cocaine, 3.6 grams of fentanyl, 15 MDMA tablets and drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle, they said.
Both men were charged with possession of drug equipment, two counts of drug trafficking and two counts of drug possession, authorities said.
Both were booked into the Santa Rosa County Jail without a chance for bond, and remained in custody Tuesday afternoon, jail records show.
Unless you have been under a rock, you have heard that Beyonce and Jay Z were filmed sitting during the National Anthem and the Super Bowl. Many people have seen this as protest or disrespect, while Jay Z claims him and his wife were simply in work mode.
He said Beyonce told him she was thinking what Demi must have been going through in the seconds before starting the Anthem, because, as Jay put it, Beyonce's "performed at the Super Bowl before, and I haven't."
"We immediately jumped into artist mode." Jay added, "I'm really just looking at the show. The mics start. Was it too low to start?" He went on to make the point he was concerned about the audio and all aspects of the show for a very good reason.
Jay said there was no need for a "silent protest" -- as some speculated they were doing -- because we were "making the biggest loudest protest of all" by selecting such a diverse group of artists to perform at the game.
